Chin Implant

Chin implants reshape, resize, or reconstruct the chin. This popular, confidence-boosting surgery strengthens the facial profile and balances the features.

WHAT IS A CHIN IMPLANT?

Chin implants are made of a soft, rubbery, flexible material that can be inserted through a small incision. Your doctor will choose the right implant shape and size to best fit your facial structure and meet your desired cosmetic goals. If your implants are made of solid silicone, your surgeon may make a small incision under your chin. You can undergo chin implant surgery by itself, or in combination with other facial surgery procedures such as a facelift, lip augmentation or a cheek implant. In all, the surgery takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes. The procedure will take longer if additional surgical procedures are being performed simultaneously.

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR A CHIN IMPLANT?

Chin implants can benefit both men and women. However, not all patients are candidates for a chin implant. For a successful outcome in chin implant surgery, your jaw and teeth must function properly. If your chin is slightly weak and your jaw and teeth are functioning well, chin implants may be ideal to help achieve the look you want. Most facial surgery procedures require the use of general anesthesia, so you need to be in good health to be considered for our facial surgery procedures and to help fight off any possible infection after surgery.
